Kocers in İdil who feed 15 thousand animals lack water 2020-02-16 13:23:55 ŞIRNAK- As their water pumps burst, kocers (nomadic Kurds in the region) in the Derecik town of İdil can not access water for 10 days. Kocer nomads feed 15 thousand animals and they react against AKP municipality, which disregards their water problem. 10 kocer families who reside in the town need to go to İdil district center 2 times a day, which is has 6 km distance from their settlement area, due to the water problem. Kocer nomads reacts against AKP's Sırtköy Town Municipality as the municipality takes no step to solve this problem.   AKP MUNICIPALITY GAINS TIME   Kocers report that they have had water problem for 10 days and they have been trying to supply water for the 15 thousand animals they feed by carrying their own water from the 6km distance. They indicate that they applied to AKP-ruled Sırtköy Municipality regarding this problem and asked for a sollution and the authorities kept gaining time and  sending them back saying, 'We will come tomorrow'. Kocer nomads call for sensitivity to the public and to the authorities.
