Prisoners are beaten up in 3 prisons 2020-02-16 12:48:10 İSTANBUL- Dozens of detainees from Tekirdağ, Bakirköy and Bandirma were transferred to different prisons. In prison raids in the same prisons, the detainees were battered and subjected to insults.  In Tekirdağ, it was alleged that 12 prisoners who were sent to the F Type Prison No 1 from the T Type Closed Prison last week were beaten up. It was reported that the prisoners were constantly insulted by the soldiers in the ring vehicle.   The detainees, who explained the situation they were exposed through their lawyers, stated that they were imposed on naked body search in the entrance of the F-Type Prison, and that they were beaten up for not accepting this application. The prisoners also stated that their books and clothes were confiscated. On the other hand, 3 prisoners in the same prison said that they were sent to No. 2 F Type Prison  without their requests and that they were beaten up as they were also exposed to naked body search.   The prison management we have called regarding the allegations did not respond our calls.   'WARDS WERE RAIDED'   It was stated that in the Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison, C9 and C10 wards were raided on Friday. In raids involving more than 100 guards, it was reported that the wards were messed up, personal belongings in prisoners' cabinets were thrown on the ground and their radio was confiscated. During the raid, some women prisoners showed reaction and their throats were squeezed by the guards as they were beaten and threatened by the guards.   As we call Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison, the management denies the allegations. An officer, who does not give his name, defended the application as a "routine search".   25 PRISONERS TRANSFERRED IN BANDIRMA   In Balıkesir Bandırma Closed Prison, one of the prisons where violations of rights are experienced intensely, 25 prisoners were transferred to Afyon No.1 T Type Closed Prison on February 12. It was stated that the prisoners were beaten up during the transfer and and one of them was Abdullah Onğunlu, who is in on the list of sick prisoners of the Human Rights Association (İHD). Onğunlu's older brother, Mehmet Onğunlu said that his brother has been in prison for 26 years and has had many illnesses.   MA/ Erdoğan Alayumat
