Evacuation of the 814 prisoners in Adıyaman Prison starts 2020-01-25 15:18:17 DİYARBAKIR – The evacuation of 814 prisoners started in Adıyaman Prison, where damage occurred in the earthquake in Sivrice district of Elazig.   Damage occurred in the Adıyaman Closed Penal Execution Institution in the earthquake that took place at 20.55 yesterday in Sivrice district of Elazig. The Ministry of Justice decided to evacuate Adıyaman Prison, where partial cracks occurred after the earthquake. With the decision, 814 convicts and prisoners began to be transferred to prisons in Antep, Urfa and Maraş.   Making a written statement on the subject, the Ministry of Justice stated that as soon as the earthquake news was received, a crisis center was established within the Ministry, and in this context, detailed investigations were conducted in the courthouse and penal execution institutions in the earthquake region with experts. The statement said: "Minor damages were observed in our investigation in the buildings and institutions, it was determined that there were no casualties or injuries. 814 convicts and prisoners were sent to prisons in Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş because of partial cracks in some sections."
