Manager appointed by trustee not arrested despite 11 year prison sentence 2020-01-23 09:36:37 MARDİN - Ercan Uysaler, a police officer the trustee of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality trustee appointed as a manager to the Kent A.Ş, hasn't been arrested yet, despite he was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months for soliciting a woman to prostitution.   Ercan Uysaler, who was appointed as a manager to Kent A.Ş by Governor Mustafa Yaman, the trustee who was re-appointed to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality on August 19, 2019 has still not been arrested even though he was sentenced to 11 years 3 months in prison for forcing a woman employee into prostitution by 1st Penal Court of First Instance. The court decided for Uysaler's arrest in the hearing held on January 9.   However, it has been learned that, despite the fact that 15 days have passed since the decision in question, Uysaler has not been arrested yet and no document has been sent to the court that the order has been fulfilled. It was stated that Uysaler, who had to leave Mardin after the incident, started to live in Osmancık district of Çorum, while no information was available about whether the law enforcement officers went to his house to fulfill his arrest warrant.   BACKGROUND   Governor Mustafa Yaman, the trustee of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, appointed the police officer Ercan Uysaler, whom he grew up in the same neighborhood, to the municipal affiliate, Kent A.Ş. It was later revealed that Uysaler forced a female employee into prostitution. An investigation was launched on the woman's complaint. However, Uysaler continued his duty both as a police officer and a manager. Following the 31 March elections when the municipality switched to HDP, the incident was revealed and HDP administration terminated Uysaler's employement contract. Upon the indictment prepared by the Mardin Public Prosecutor's Office, Uysaler suspended by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Uysaler had requested his retirement without waiting for the completion of the administrative investigation launched against him and his pension request was accepted.
