Defendant of Kemal Kurkut case: Nothing done about denounced anti terror police 2020-01-22 11:00:49 DİYARBAKIR - Police officer Y.Ş who is on trial for the murder of Kemal Kurkut, stating that there are Anti Terror Police involved in the incident, said he identified 2 police officers who were in the killing position at the time, said no action was taken about it.   Police officer Y.Ş who is accused of killing university student Kemal Kurkut in 2017 Newroz celebrations, said he denounced two anti terror unit police in his defense but none of them were investigated. Y.Ş who is on trial for possible intent to kill (eventual intent) in Diyarbakır 7th High Criminal Court, said Anti Terror Unit police are responsible for the killing of Kurkut, but nevertheless the investigation is run by the Anti Terror Unit which has involvement in the incident but has no expertise."   Y.Ş denounced two anti terror officers in his defense while evaluating the Turkey Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) experts' assessment of the images. Y.Ş said: " Even though I identified two anti terror police officers F.A and Ö.G who were in the killing position at the time, this detain was ignored in the second report of the National Criminal Bureau.
