Perpetrator of armed attack against HDP arrested for ‘Disturbing Peace’ 2020-01-21 14:03:40 İSTANBUL - Having fired shots in the air in front of HDP İstanbul Office and turned himself in after the incident, assaulter M.S.H. has been arrested on charges of “using an unregistered firearm” and “disturbing public peace.” The perpetrator who carried out an armed attack against the İstanbul Provincial Office of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has been arrested.   M.S.H. fired shots in the air in front of HDP İstanbul Office on January 15. He was arrested yesterday (January 20) on charges of "using an unregistered firearm" and "disturbing public peace."   Perpetrator M.S.H. came in front of the building at around 3 p.m. on the day of incident, firing seven shots in the air. He turned himself in to the Beyoğlu Security Directorate on the same street after that.   The perpetrator alleged that he came from Turkey's central anatolian city of Kayseri and launched the attack after inspecting the site for two days.   The HDP filed a criminal complaint against M.S.H., who was then held in detention for four days. The perpetrator has been arrested on charges of "using an unregistered firearm" and "disturbing public peace."
