Prosecutor considers membership of HDP Youth Assembly a crime

	ADANA - Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment for the 25 Adana Provincial Youth Assembly members 7 of whom are under arrest with the accusation of 'being a member to an illegal organization' and 'propagandizing an illegal organization'. Adana 2nd High Criminal Court accepted the indictment.

	'ALLEGED ASSEMBLY'

	 

	The prosecutor stating that the Youth Assembly uses the 'Democratic Youth Movement' (DGH) as a legal armour, based his opinion on the statements of the confessors. The prosecutor assesed that he had obtained information that the youth assembly could have used molotovs or carry out car arson actions, referred the HDP Provincial Youth Assembly as 'alleged'.

	The stories, articles and interviews Mesopotamia Agency (MA), Nuçe Ciwan and ANF published about the HDP Youth Assembly was considered to be the evidence of the alleged 'crimes'.

	 

	The first hearing of the case will be held on 30 January 2020 in Adana 2nd High Criminal Court.
