Campaign for Yüksekdağ and HDP jailed MPs steps up

	NEWS CENTER - The campaign 'Freedom for Figen Yüksekdağ and deputies in prison' continues in Europe.

	The campaign demanding 'Freedom for Figen Yüksekdağ and HDP deputies in prison' continues around Europe. The initiative has been launched before the hearing of the trial against HDP former co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ, scheduled on 24 December 2019.

	 

	The campaign has organised actions in many European cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Stuttgart, Kiel, Austria, Vienna, England, London, France, Paris.

	 

	The activities include handing out leaflets and brochures prepared in different languages to explain the case against Figen Yüksekdağ and the other HDP deputies in prison.

	 

	Yüksekdağ has been held in F Type Prison No. 1 in Kandıra since 4 November 2016. Activists are trying to raise awareness and prompt local institutions such as municipalities, parties, trade unions, women's organizations, intellectuals and artists to act.

	 

	In addition, the campaign is aiming at organising demonstrations in various cities on 20 December in front of the Turkish consulate or in busy areas of cities.
