Kati Piri: Turkey must be held responsible for war crimes

	NEWS CENTER - Reactions are growing against the Turkish operation against northern Syria and the war crimes committed in the region.

	 

	The European Parliament former Rapporteur for Turkey Kati Piri responded to the claims of Turkish use of prohibited weapons during the ongoing military offensive seeking to invade North and East Syria.

	 

	Piri wrote on Twitter: “Turkey must be held responsible for war crimes committed against Kurdish civilians. The use of white phosphorus is not only cruel but also strictly prohibited by international law.”
