11 thousand 520 TL fine to those took the street in Adana 2019-09-17 09:51:09 ADANA - A total of 11 thousand 520 TL was fined to the citizens who took the streets protesting the appointment of trustees in Adana due to 'Behavior inconsistent with commands'. While the ban on demos and activities in Adana, declared by the Governership continues for over more than a month, citizens who took the streets protesting the trustees on different dates were fined to 11 thousand 520 TL due to 'behavior inconsistent with commands'.     The police considering the fact that 18 people marched on the street where HDP Provincial Organization building is located on August 24, fined each on of them to 320 TL. Another 18 people were fined to 320 TL each on August 25, including People's Democratic Congress (HDK) Adana Provincial Co-spokesperson Uğur Bayrak. Bayrak stating that the trustees were appointed to the will of the people, reminded that even using the word 'trustee' have become a crime itself.   Bayrak, reacting to the fines imposed on them, stated that they will be out on the streets no matter how the pressure on them increases. Bayrak, stating that even the most democratic right of the people is being criminalized, said: "Making a press statement is being considered to be a crime. A party that has 6 million voters can not make a press statement. We will continue using our democratic rights.I am calling on to our people to unite around HDP."
