The locals have to cross rubble and rocks to go to their homes.   The road and infrastructure works started at the end of July by the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science in the rural neighborhood of Xelîla (Guide), which has a population of approximately 6 thousand in the district of Dargeçit in Mardin, was stopped after August 19, when the trustee was appointed. Workers and heavy machinery was removed from the area where heaps of rubble and rocks remained. Sewage waters are pouring around in the area after the work was left unfinished. The residents of the neighborhood who are exposed to bad smell want the work restarted as soon as possible.     Leyla Akkurt, one of the neighborhood resident says: "We are miserable. Our children are constantly getting hurt because of these rocks." Akkurt who states that the smell is unbearable and the streets can no longer be used, said: "Neither the people nor the cars can get into the neighborhood. This is unfair. We want our road done." Akkurt who stated that the work for the road was in a rapid progess before the trustee, said: "Our mayor Ahmet was doing our roads but the trustee have stopped the work and left. It was better the way it was before then it being left unfinished like this."   Akkurt explained that they use the main road due to their road is closed, said her son had a narrow escape from a car accident that week. Akkurt asked who will be responsible if her son dies at a car accident.
