'Aiding and abetting' accusation to the tortured villagers 2019-09-11 10:32:42 DİYARBAKIR - The villagers who were tortured under custody after a police lost his life in an attack in 2018 in Diyarbakır, were accused of 'aiding and abetting an illegal organization' and a file was suited against them with a request of 15 years in prison.    A file was suited against the 5 villagers after police officer Nazım Tuncer was killed in an armed attack on December 17, 2018 in Kalaba village, located in Diyarbakır, Hani. The 5 villagers, Ali İhsan, Abdulsamet, Ayhan, Tuncay ve Behçet Opçin was taken to the District Gendermerie Command where they were tortured under custody. The violence the villagers were subjected to was reported in their medical control.   A file was suited against the Hani District Gendermerie Command  personnel Hasan Hüseyin Y., Mevlüd T. and Murat S. when the tortured villagers pressed charges, yet, before the hearing against the 3 gendermerie personnel began, a file was suited against the 5 tortured villagers and 2 more citizens. The villagers are accused of helping the wounded PKK members Veli Taşkıran a.k.a Botan and Ayhan Büyükçelebi a.k.a Harun.
