Oluç: A new social contract is needed 2019-09-09 14:20:16   İSTANBUL - HDP Group Vice President Saruhan Oluç, critisizing the judiciary, stated that they don't believe the AKP will make any kind of radical reform in the judiciary even though they prepared a Judicial Reform Strategy Document. Oluç stated that a new social contract is needed for social and political opposition.      The judiciary being responsible for the elimination of the principle of separation of powers is the focus of critisim of every walks of life.The fact that the Judicial Year opening was held in the Presidency Complex and 53 Bar Associations did not attend, reflects the situation of the judiciary. AKP government who are being accused of dominating the judiciary, prepared a Judicial Reform Strategy Document.The document's content which is partly revealed, is expected to be on the parliamentaary agenda as of October 1.      People's Democratic Party have been holding talks with political parties and non-governmental organizations regarding the 'Democratic Constitution', Judiciary Package' and 'Alliance of Democracy."     HDP Group Vice President Saruhan Oluç who underlined that Turkey is in an immediate need of a new social contract, said: "Turkey is still being governed by the constitution prepared by September 12 Martial Coup. This constitution have been altered so many times, it is unable to work properly. They established a creepy system called 'Presidency Government System' and have been trying to make it work for a year now. Crisis occured both in political and economic sense. Turkey does not accept this system. It is important for the future that the social and political opposition reach a basic agreement on what kind of constitution they want. ”
