Identified body stays in morgue for 28 days saying the prosecutor's on leave 2019-08-17 11:42:36 DİYARBAKIR - Mucahit Yilmaz's body which the Ministry of Interior announced his identity hours after his murder in a house in Diyarbakir, has not been given to the family for 28 days on the grounds of “prosecutor's on leave” and “DNA test needed“.   The body o Mücahit Yılmaz who was killed in a police raid to a house on July 21, is not being delivered to his family. Ministry of Interrior announced his identity as a 'member of an organization operating in the city, coming from the rural'.     Upon the disclosure of the identity, Yılmaz family came to Diyarbakır on 22 July and applied to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for identification. Then the father Abdulkadir Yilmaz identified the body of his son Mücahit Yilmaz in  Diyarbakir Gazi Yasargil Education and Research Hospital morgue. Yılmaz family, who applied to the public prosecutor's office again to get the body, they were asked to give blood sample for DNA diagnosis.     Yilmaz family who gave a blood samples on July 22, wasn't able to get the body despite all attempts. Finally, the family, who applied to the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office yesterday, was told that the prosecutor was on leave and that the DNA diagnosis was not completed yet. The family returned to Kızıltepe once again without the body.
