'Isolation must be removed for peace' 2019-04-23 13:19:55   ADANA - Safiye Bayna, mother of Ahmet Bayna who is on hunger strike for 54 days in Karabük Prison, said: "In order for the peace to come to this country, the isolation must be terminated."   24 year old Ahmet Bayna in Karabük Type T Closed Prison is on hunger strike for 54 days with almost 7 thousand political prisoners.      ARRESTED AT AGE 12   Ahmet Bayna was arrested at age 12 with the accusation that he threw stones at the police, and put into Pozantı Juvenile Center which is known for the torture and the abuse.   After his release in 2010, he got arrested again for 'being a member of an illegal organization' in 2011 and was sentenced to 13 years and 9 months of prison sentence.     Ahmet Bayna called his mother on April 17 and said: "We joined the hunger strike action on March 1. We are determined and our morale is high.But our friends who started the hunger strike with the first group are not doing so well. Vitamins are not being given. Water salt and sugar are not being given either. There is an intense pressure on us but we will not end our hunger strike action until the isolation is removed. Be our voices out there."   Mother Bayna said: 'In order for the peace to come to this country, the isolation must be terminated' and called on to the authorities to end the isolation so that the hunger strike should end.
