Journalist Parlak imprisoned since 8 months due to repetitive investigation 2018-12-14 10:46:22   DİYARBAKIR- Ferhat Parlak who was acquitted from the former case in Diyarbakır 4th Criminal Court, is imprisoned since 8 months for the same charge from Silvan Chief Prosecutor's Office filed. Ferhat Parlak, the publisher of Silvan Struggle Newspaper that was closed down, was taken under custody in the scope of an investigation run by Silvan Chief Prosecutor's Office on April 10, 2018 and was arrested and  brought to Diyarbakır Typme D Supermax Prison    Parlak ,who was accused of journalistic activities during the period of curfews declared in 2015 in Silvan center, is waiting to be released for more than 8 months.   Attorney Özdemir emphasizing the fact that his client has a valid and presidency approved press card said: " Prosecution claimed that Ferhat's journalistic activities are direct organizational activities. Ferhat have been exonerated from the same charges before.He stood trial in 2 different courts.He was tried in Batman Criminal Court for his book.  He was first arrested and then acquitted from the charge of 'being a member of an illegal organization' in Diyarbakır 4th Criminal Court. The process Silvan have started is the same period with Diyarbakır court period. A repetitive judiciary is being seen here. Both the files contains his journalistic activities during the curfew in Silvan and the content of the files are the same. He was acquitted from one, and is arrested from the other pending trial for 8 months.   Özdemir said the preparation of the indictment is still in process.
