
HDP Executive resisting strip search battered

	ADANA- Şükrü Kıran, father of HDP Adana Provincial Director Mehmet Kıran stated that they filed a criminal complaint against the prison administration where they have battered his son when he resisted the strip search.

	&nbsp;

	People's Democratic Party Adana Provincial Director Mehmet Kıran who was taken under custody in scope of an investigation run by Adana Chief Prosecutor's Office, was arrested on November 28 and brought to Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison where a strip search was imposed on him. He resisted the strip search and got battered.

	&nbsp;

	Father Şükrü Kıran stated that his son was beaten because he did not let the prison guards strip search him. Father Kıran who underlined that even though his son submitted 3 petitions to see the doctor to receieve a medical report, the prison administration rejected it. Şükrü Kıran said: " Our attorney had a meeting with the prosecutor about the torture. Prosecutor told him that he have heard of the incident and will make an inquiry but there were no evidence. Our attorney have filed a criminal complaint. We will not let our son be tortured."

	&nbsp;The prison administration did not answer our call regarding the issue.
