More than 600 in hunger strike from 117 prisons 2018-12-12 13:36:16   DİYARBAKIR- The indefinite -rotating hunger strike 600 prisoners in 117 prisons have started is in its 16th day. Attorney Bünyamin Şeker stated that the 6 prisoners in Elazığ who are in their 40th day of hunger strike are in critical condition.    The indefinite -rotating  hunger strike prisoners started to protest the isolation of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan on November 27 continues in its 16th day.While the indefininte- non-rotating hunger strike 6 women prisoners started in Elazığ Women's Prison is in its 40th day, DTK Co-chair and HDP Hakkari parliamentarian Leyla Güven's indefinite -non-rotating hunger strike is in its 35th day. As of now, there are more than 600 prisoners in 117 prisons in hunger strike despite all efforts to stop it.   Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) administator Attorney Bünyamin Şeker spoke to Mezopotamya Agency and said politics and solution is now stuck in Turkey and no solutuions are develpoed, the indefinite -rotating hunger strikes will evolve to a higher level. Attorney Şeker who underlined that the 6 women prisoners in Elazığ are in critical condition, added: "We have learned that the hunger strikers are not given the vitamins they need to survive. We saw the 6 women prisoners in Elazığ Prison and saw that they had low blood pressure and lost a lot of weight.   Attorney Şeker underlining that they not only can't access the medicine and other things the hunger strikers need but also can't find an authority to respond them. Attorney Şeker added that the prisoner in hunger strike are being kept in isolation.
