International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Turkey represantative Dr. Gisela Panteker who spoke to ANF said that the photos taken at the scene is not enough to determine if chemical weapons were used and an expert team should conduct an investigation there.   PUNISHMENT IS UNLIKELY   Dr. Panteker said: "“We once again understood that it is very difficult to prove the use of chemical gas in Syria. We can only guess  by looking at the photos. In addition, even if experts from the United Nations go to the region and prove the use of these banned weapons, the process of punishing criminals is quite difficult. Because the usage of these weapons are politicized." Underlining that Turkey might have chemical weapons even though it is a NATO ally, Dr. Panteker defined the operations against the Kurds as invasion attempts.   CALL FROM KARAYILAN   On the other hand, PKK Executive Committee Member Murat Karayılan, who spoke to Stêrk TV recently, said that chemical gas was used during the operation in Garê and called on international forces to investigate.     Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) which Turkey is a signatory since 1997 strictly forbids the use of chemicals indoors for military purposes.
