Sexist November 25th poster from the trustee 2020-11-25 13:36:05 VAN - Van Metropolitan Municipality, under the administration of the trustee, gave sexist messages on the posters it hung on the billboards due to November 25th.    Van Metropolitan Municipality, which was appointed as a trustee on August 19 last year, hung posters saying "No to Violence" on billboards on the busiest streets of the city on the occasion of the International Day of Struggle Against Violence to Women on November 25. In the visual on the poster, it is seen that the white high-heeled shoes representing the woman and the black shoes are used to represent the man, while the black shoe is pressing the white shoe.   This image, which reinforces gender roles, also legitimizes violence to  women.   Trustees appointed to the municipalities in the region are known for closing women's organizations that fight violence as their first job.
