From Aydeniz to the UN: If there is a war crime, why don't you take a step? 2020-09-19 14:53:37   URFA – Speaking at the meetings of her Party at Urfa, DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz reminded the war crimes report of the UN regarding Efrîn and Serêkanîyê and asked 'Why don't you take a step? Making reports of it is not enough. You are a partner to this crime if you don't take a step."   The public gatherings of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) at the cities of the region continued with Urfa.  A public meeting was held in the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Viranşehir District building with the participation of DTK Co-Chair Bedran Öztürk and DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz. Urfa Members of Parliament Ömer Öcalan, Nusrettin Maçin and many non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.   While the Viransehir district building, where the meeting will be held, was blockaded by armored vehicles, the citizens who came to attend the meeting were subjected to the General Information Screening (GBT) and the police took photographs of everyone at the meeting.   WHY AREN'T YOU TAKING A STEP?   Aydeniz said, "The UN has documented the relationship between Turkey and the gangs. Again, looting, torture and rape were documented. And they said it was a war crime. From here, we ask the UN, why don't you take a step against these war crimes? It's not just about preparing a report. It is not enough. If you do not take a step, then you are a partner in these crimes. But we know very well who is involved in these crimes. "
