Musa Anter will be commemorated in two places on the 28th year of his murder 2020-09-19 11:03:11 DİYARBAKIR – The Kurdish luminary Musa Anter  (Apê Musa) will be commemorated on the 28th anniversary of his murder at the place where he was shot in Diyarbakır and at his grave in Nusaybin, Mardin. The winners of the competition organized in his name will be given their awards at the ceremony in Istanbul.   Kurdish scholar Musa Anter (Apê Musa), who was murdered by JİTEM on September 20, 1992, will be commemorated on the 28th year anniversary of his murder, by Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG).   The first commemoration for Anter will be held in Cumhuriyet Mahallesi 442nd Street in the Seyrantepe District of Diyarbakır, where he was killed. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) executives, non-governmental organizations, representatives of press professional organizations and journalists will attend the commemoration, which will start at 11:00.   After the ceremony here, a commemoration will be held at his grave at 15.00 in the Nusaybin district of Mardin.   AWARD CEREMONY IN ISTANBUL   On the other hand, the winners of the ‘Musa Anter and Free Press Martyrs Journalism Competition, which is held annually in memory of Musa Anter and led by Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, will be presented with their awards at a ceremony to be held in the hall of the Monitoring Association for Equal Rights at 17:00 tomorrow in Istanbul.
