HDP Co-Mayor detained in raid, town hall under blockade 2020-07-13 11:37:46   AĞRI - The police have raided the town hall of Diyadin district of the mostly Kurdish populated province of Ağrı and the house of HDP's Diyadin Municipality Co-Mayor Betül Yaşar. The doors of the town hall were broken open and the building has been put under blockade.   The police have raided Diyadin Municipality ruled by Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and several houses, including the house of Diyadin Municipality Co-Mayor Betül Yaşar. Co-Mayor Betül Yaşar has been detained and taken to the provincial police headquarters.    3 OTHER PEOPLE DETAINED   Mesut Arslan and Mustafa Alparslan has also been detained in raids in their houses. Zeynel Abidin Bozkurt has been detained in a house raid in Düzce as part of the investigation.   TOWN HALL UNDER POLICE BLOCKADE   According to the information HDP Ağrı MP Abdullah Koç has shared, police broke the doors of the town hall and searched through the building for a long time. It was also stated that town hall has been blockaded and no one has been allowed to enter the building.
