Lawyers not allowed in Kuğulu Park 2020-07-10 16:51:03   ANKARA - Lawyers who have reached Kuğulu Park to support the defense watch were not allowed in the park.   Facing police barriers, lawyers who arrived in Ankara from various cities of Turkey to support the ongoing defense watch against "multiple bar" bill have protested the blockade marching through Tunalı Hilmi Avenue.  No citizen, including journalists, is allowed to enter or approach near the park which is surrounded by police barriers and shields as well as buses. Lawyers have protested the police’s blockade and marched through Tunalı Hilmi Avenue near the Kuğulu Park chanting "No to fascism".   HDP DEPUTIES COME FOR SUPPORT   Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) deputies who previously protested the bill on decentralizing bar associations reading all together a quotation from Molierac in the parliament came to support the protests. HDP group deputy chairs Meral Danış Beştaş and Saruhan Oluç and HDP MPs Züleyha Gülüm, Serpil Kemalbay, Musa Piroğlu, Filiz Kerestecioğlu and Erol Katırcıoğlu tried to enter the park with lawyers to join the bar heads continuing their sit-in.    Even though HDP MP's have tried to negotiate with the police for the barricades to be removed, the police have not yet open the entrance for the lawyers. HDP lawyers have managed to get in the park to visit the bar heads.    Lawyers demand to enter Kuğulu Park to sign the petition which demands the withdrawal of the "multiple bar" bill they declare as a lawful bill. Lawyers who continue the protests on Tunalı Hilmi Avenue are given public support by the citizens around.
