Raids and detentions in Adana and Mersin 2020-07-10 14:40:20   ADANA - A large number of people were detained in house raids in Adana and Mersin. It was reported that the police battered and threatened some people during the raid.   As part of an investigation carried out by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, several houses were simultaneously raided in Adana and Mersin. During the raids, the police broke the doors of the houses and searched the houses.   As the houses have been messep up, police have also confiscated some books, journals and digital materials. As there is no clear information on how many people were detained, it has been learned that there is a warrant for 17 people.   'IF YOU TALK WE WILL KILL YOU'   The Çoban family, whose house was raided in Mersin, stated that Zeynep Taşgir,a guest at home was detained. Family members shared the following information: "They broke our door with a battering ram. They pointed us a gun and said, 'Get down on the ground!' They  locked the kids in a room and pointed the gun to them. They put us and our friend (Taşgir) in a room and battered us with a gun. My mother fainted; she is sick and came from Ankara yesterday for treatment. They laid my brother on the ground, said, ‘If you talk, we will kill you’, and battered him with a gun barrel. They messed up the house."
